Kat is a yoga instructor living in Austin and a recent graduate from the University of Texas. Passionate about health and wellness, Kat adopted a vegan lifestyle 3 years ago and hasn’t looked back. In 2014 she received her 200 hour certification through Dharma Yoga. Her practice is focused on the connection between mind and body, and how each plays a role for the others’ well-being. When she isn’t teaching or writing, you can find Kat playing with her pocket beagle, on the mat deepening her practice, running around the block, cooking in the kitchen, sipping coffee, eating at some of the amazing vegan noms Austin has to offer and traveling this beautiful world.

Chrissy is a full time yoga teacher, vegan, travel junkie, animal lover and horror film devotee. Vegan since 2006. Her formal yoga training began in 2002 with Yoga Works in Los Angeles. Since then she has completed close to 1000 hours of yoga alliance certified training. Chrissy is also highly involved in animal rescue and awareness programs and leads several fundraising yoga classes for local shelters and rescues every year. Through teaching yoga, writing and charity work, she hopes to inspire people to take accountability for their actions and learn how to treat the planet and all it’s inhabitants with love and respect.
Her love of animals makes a vegan lifestyle the only logical choice. She’s also passionate about nature, art, running, and health & fitness. Her sport is distance running, but when she’s not hitting the pavement, Belinda is in the gym lifting heavy things.
Heather Shenkman MD FACC
Heather is an interventional cardiologist in practice in the Los Angeles area. While she performs complex angioplasties to open up clogged coronary arteries, she prefers to help her patients reduce their risk of heart disease through not only medication, but also a healthy lifestyle, including a plant-based diet and regular exercise. Dr. Shenkman has followed a plant-based diet for nearly ten years and is an avid athlete, competing in triathlons of all distances, marathons, and ultra cycling events.
Kelly is a vegan writer and speaker spreading the reasons a whole foods, plant-based diet is best for our health and our environment. She has a master’s degree in education from Harvard and is certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
